Supreme Commander 2

I was wondering if I could kindly ask the staff to reconsider their choice of using Supreme Commander 2 as the replacement game for Starcraft 2 in the event that the beta is unavailable at MassiveLAN.

Given that this request comes from me, one of the biggest advocates of Supreme Commander on these forums, I hope you'll take the request to heart.

Supreme Commander 2 has proven to be very underwhemling since it's release.  This opinion is backed up, I feel, by the fact that SupCom2's price on Steam has plummeted dramatically since it's release. 

It would be nice to see a better RTS as your backup for Starcraft 2.  Perhaps Supreme Commander with Forged Alliance, or even something older like Total Annihilation or the original Starcraft.

I hope that you are able to use Starcraft 2 as you intend, but if you cannot, I simply ask that you choose a better backup game.

i would like to second that motion, as SupCom2 really is a very bad game compared to it predecessor.

if we have to choose another game besides SC2 we're going to take an interest poll to see what most people will play. That's the best I can tell you right now

Sc2 beta should be back july 1st for 2 weeks, I was considering not coming at all if SC2 wasn't available as only SC2 tournaments intrest me.

So we should know if beta will be back by this thursday

Don't take it personal, I'm just trying to make it big in the SC2 scene.. by entering tournaments.. Most of the other games do not interest me.

Sounds like some of the ppl that have come and gone like leeches from the LAN community in the past with UT2k4, short lived. To stuck on one game to understand that they need the community just as much as the community needs them for support. To each thier own, hope to see you there if SC2 Beta is back... a new game will be out next year and the year after that and so on...

The starcraft 2 beta is officially back as of this morning. Hurrah.
