2009 FAQ
We're going to approach this FAQ style...
Q: When can I enter the event?
Anytime after 9:00 am on July 10th
Q: How can I get there?
There are directions from the major roads here. Once you get to the fairgrounds we will also do our best to provide directions with signs that lead you to the right place. It's pretty easy. We'll also have a phone help-line that we'll announce as we get closer to the event.
Q: This is a long event... am I going to be able to bathe?
Yes! There are showers just a short walk from the event! No more stinky gamers! We'll have some basic toiletries for your use but first come first serve.
Q: My significant other is coming but not playing... does he/she have to pay?
There is a $5 spectator fee for the event. This does not allow you to walk about freely and play whatever you want. If you are found playing any of the demos, consoles, tournaments, soemone else's computer, using your laptop then you gotta pay full price.
Q: Where can I sleep?
This is probably going to change but some info is better than none. For sure we'll be having an in-door sleeping area near the bathrooms. It's a concrete floor so if you do this you'll want to bring something to sleep on like a matt. Please, no air mattresses unless its outside. There are camper and tent spots available outside in the grounds. Tents are $10 a night and campers are $25. Includes power and water hookups. For the rugged out-doors types that just want a tent spot but don't need any fancy electricity... we're working on an agreement with the grounds to get a small section reserved for us so people don't have to pay to be outside.
Q: Will food be at the event?
Yes! There will be a vendor onsite selling food DURING MEAL TIMES only. We haven't worked out specifics but the prices will be reasonable (not set by us) and should be available for at least lunch and dinner. We will have a menu posted as we work out the details. There are also plenty of places nearby.
