Winter 2025 Schedule

Official Tournaments

Official Tournaments are scheduled events that players and/or teams compete in to win trophies and bragging rights. Here are this year's tournaments with a quick description of each.

Rocket League

Teams of 2 compete in a single elimination bracket playing "Soccar", a game where you drive a hyper-fast rocket powered cart in a giant bubble-style stadium trying to mash a giant ball into your opponent's goal.

2-Player Co-Op

You and a random partner will compete in a time-trial of a game of our choosing. The twist? You each have to share 1 half of a controller.

Counter-Strike 2

Teams of 5 compete in Valve's latest iteration of the timeless classic.

Smash Bros

A Nintendo-themed brawl game. No, I don't know what version or what rules we're playing. Feel free to argue about it.

Halo Custom Games

Halo 3 ODST. Teams of 4 on Xbox 360 via the custom games mode. We are providing the equipment you just need to show up.

Golf With Your Friends

Slowly turning into a MassiveLAN staple tournament, you compete against others on some seriously whacky and rage-inducing minigolf courses to see if you can take home the trophy.

Fall Guys

This year's community choice. Race to the end, be the last one standing.

Board Game Room

This winter we have a ton of stuff planned for our board game room. Just in case you don't know what these games are, here is a quick rundown.

Blood on the Clock Tower

A bluffing game with players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a Storyteller player who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions. The goal of the game is to successfully deduce and execute the demons before they outnumber the townfolk. Learn More

Silver

Your village has been overrun by savage werewolves, which are represented by the number on each of the cards that make up your village. To get rid of these fanged fiends faster than the neighboring villages, use your residents' special abilities and your powerful secret weapon: a silver amulet. Learn More

Are You a Werewolf?

Werewolf (also known as Mafia) takes place in a small town where a minority of the townsfolk hold a dangerous secret.

Each player is secretly assigned a role - Werewolf, Villager, or Seer (a special Villager). There is also a Moderator who controls the flow of the game. Learn More

Magic: The Gathering (draft)

The OG. In this format, players take turns opening packs and selecting a single card to build a winning deck. There will be a $10 entry fee to help cover costs and additional prize support.

Ticket to Ride

Players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets – goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route. Learn More

Dead by Daylight

As one of four Survivors, explore the trial grounds, discover props, and utilize your unique perks as you work to uncover and repair generators. Repair four generators and open the exit games to escape and win! As a Killer, hunt down the survivors, wound them, and place them on sacrificial hooks to summon a sinister force. With enough sacrifices, you are able to appease The Entity and win! Learn More

Two Rooms and a Boom

In Two Rooms and a Boom – a social deduction/hidden role party game for six or more players – there are two teams: the Red Team and the Blue Team. The Blue Team has a President. The Red Team has a Bomber. Players are equally distributed between two rooms (i.e., separate playing areas). The game consists of five timed rounds. At the end of each round, some players will be swapped into opposing rooms. If the Red Team's Bomber is in the same room as the President at the end of the game, then the Red Team wins; otherwise the Blue Team wins. Lying encouraged. Learn More

Coalition

Four Parties with competing interests (Clergy, Nobles, Merchants, and Rebels) wheel and deal to shape their city-state's new Constitution via a shared-scoring system. Meanwhile, Independent players seek to achieve their own unique objectives. Learn More

Minigames

Minigames are fun games that encouage LANners to get out of their seat and have a bit of fun. Most minigames are quick and simple enough for anyone to do. Most minigames are open to all, but some we have to choose randomly out of those interested to make sure we don't take too long. Each minigames wins a $20 steam gift card for the victor. Here are this year's minigames...

RC Car Battle

Drive a mini remote control car on a treadmill. Be the last spinning

Chair Curling

You attempt to launch your partner (whom is sitting in an office chair) to score maximum points. Curling/shuffleboard style.

Mouse Toss

Toss a mouse into a garbage can. That's literally it.

Hard Drive Hockey (Outside)

Shoot a hard drive into a hockey net. Each round it gets a little harder.
